How to change a tire correctly?

Ⅰ. Use car tires of different speed classes

If two tires of different speed classes are installed on the same vehicle, no matter what the drive axle is, install the tire of the car with the higher speed class on the rear axle to prevent potential vehicle oversteer.

In addition, do not drive the vehicle over the maximum speed of the tires (for example, winter tires generally have a lower maximum speed, so remember not to exceed the maximum speed of the tires during use).

2. Mixing different type of car tires

For best all-around performance, the same type of tires should be used on all four wheel positions.

Tyres of different sizes, constructions and wear conditions can affect the handling and stability of the vehicle. PLEASE NOTE: Some vehicles have deliberately different sized car tires on the front and rear axles. For example: most sports cars were originally equipped with tires of different sizes on the front and rear axles.

Also, please don't mix radial and non-radial tires on the same car. If you have to mix tires, never mix radial and non-radial tires on the same

If two radial and two non-radial car tires are mounted on a vehicle, the two radial tires must be mounted on the rear axle, while the two non-radial tires should be mounted on the front axle.

Ⅲ. The operation principle of mixed use of automobile tires

1. Do not mix tires of different sizes. All four tires should be the same size.

2. Do not mix radial and bias tires. All four tires should be radial or bias tires.

3. Do not mix tires with different tread patterns, such as all-road and summer tires.

Ⅳ. Is it necessary to replace existing tires with car tires of the same size?

Never choose a tire that is a different size than the original. Replacement tires should be the same size - or an optional configuration approved by the vehicle manufacturer.

The correct tire size for your vehicle can be found on the vehicle information placard on the door or in the vehicle owner's manual. Check the markings on the tire sidewall for your current car tire size.

Ⅴ. Install new car tires

If you are only replacing two tires, make sure the new tires are installed on the rear axle of the vehicle. The reasons are as follows:

New car tires can provide better wet grip than old tires, and when new tires are installed on the rear axle, they can reduce the risk of vehicle drifting or water drifting on wet roads.

Do not use second-hand tires, as you do not know what damage the original tires have suffered. Internal injuries can cause damage to the tires of the car, creating a hazard.
